2 month check-up

Age: 2 months
Weight: 8 lbs 3.5 oz
Height: 22 inches
Head: 14.5 inches

Ava didn't gain as much weight this month as she did at her 1-month visit but she's still gaining. She's also growing in height! Thank god she has a tall gene and she's not going to be short like me. Ava still looks very small for a 2-month old and is still looking very skinny. She is still wearing newborn sized clothes as well because she has no fat to fill out a larger size. There's no baby fat on her body at all!

When we are out people often make comments about her size and I always find myself having to explain that she was premature so they don't think I starve my child. They also always ask why she has a wire coming out of her clothes. I like to tell them that I'm charging her batteries but they always look confused.

I did come accross one wonderful woman in a store who told me she went through the same thing with her child who was born at 34 weeks and had an apnea monitor. She said that today at 10 years old you would never be able to tell that he was premature. Now why can't I run into more people like that? They make you feel like you're not alone and not the only person with these types of feelings.
