I am proud to announce that we have successfully weaned Ava from her bottle! After months & months of trials, defeat and a lot of money spent on different styles of sippy cups, Ava has finally decided that she is okay with the change and ready to give up her bottle.
Ava's choice cup was the Playtex First Steps Sipster. We have tried the Nuby, Avent Trainer Cup, Gerber, & Circo but they just weren't for her! Ironically the Playtex is the first cup we even purchased. Thank God she picked this cup because I had already stocked up on the stage 2 Playtex when they were on sale at BJs a while back.
Ava is a pretty flexible baby so I can't complain that her bottle was the one thing she didn't want to give up! However, I will admit that I was slightly embarrassed while in public and my toddler was sucking down a bottle instead of the cup! I swear I have been trying since she 9 months old! I think her feeding delays may have also contributed to her resistance.
