6 month check-up

This visit went very well. The eczema that Ava had developed from the leads on her monitor is finally healing as well. The past 3 weeks of life without monitor has been very nice except for when I find myself getting out of bed to check if Ava is breathing at least 3 times every night. Oh, and a few times when she alseep in her carseat and we are driving I often reach behind me and place a finger under her nose to feel if she's breathing. I didn't think ditching the monitor would be this stressful. It should have made life a lot easier since we don't have to lug that thing around anymore. I guess it has it's advantages and disadvantages though.

Ava is also working her way onto the growth chart finally! She has steadily been in the 4th-7th percentile but now she is up in the 20s. Way to go Ava! She is still wearing a size smaller than her age and is in 3-month clothes and just begining to fit into 3-6 month outfits. She'll catch up one day.

We also have the green light to start solids with her which is something we'll tackle in the coming days.
