We woke Ava up at 4 am to head to the airport for our 7:30am flight to Daytona. She was very good and must have known where she was going because she didn't fuss at all. She is such a flexible little girl. We made it through security in a breeze and headed to the terminal for breakfast and to let Ava run free before we trapped her on the plane for 3 hours. Surprisingly, once we took off, Ava fell asleep and slept for the majority of the flight!
When we landed we grabbed lunch and headed to my Aunt Eileen & Uncle Rick's house (my mother's sister) where we stayed the night to visit. My Aunt has a little yorkie and Ava fell in love with the "puppy" instantly. She loved chasing the dog around and petting him. It was good to visit with my Aunt & Uncle since I haven't seen them since my Grandmother passed away. They also got to meet Ava for the first time!
It was crazy to leave the 40 degree gloomy weather for 80 and sunny in December but I didn't mind it one bit! We took Ava & Mel to Daytona Beach before we headed to Orlando and we drove the car onto the sand and let Ava splash around in the water. It was nice to relax before we threw ourselves into a week of non-stop Disney excitement!
On the plane, eagerly awaiting take off!
