Another checkup today

Age: 25 days
Weight: 6 lbs 7 oz!

Ava is really starting to make progress with her weight gain. She has gained another 4 ounces since her checkup last week. However, she is still setting off the alarms on her monitor. Her apnea spells occur mostly at night but she has a few during the day as well. I’m still getting that sharp sting of fear in my gut whenever hear the ear piercing alarm. She’s self correcting most of the time though so I rarely have to stimulate her to get her to breathe.

We have also officially ended the Caffeine therapy because Ava’s poor stomach can’t handle the medicine causing her to projectile vomit everywhere (Literally… it comes forcefully out which is a very disturbing thing to watch and for her to have to go through). She really still needs it but I’d rather not put her through that.
