Age: 16 months
Weight: 26 lbs 12 oz
Height: 33 inches
Head: 18.75 inches
We missed our 15 month check-up because Ava came down with Roseola the day before her scheduled well-check visit so we made it up now after our Disney trip! I'm not sure why I am still shocked whenever I hear where she is on the growth chart but today, more than ever, my jaw hit the floor when I was told that Ava is in the 95% for height and 70th for weight. I was suspecting she's be high up because of her size in comparison to other babies in Disney World but not this high! She's almost off the charts!! This is what we want because of her small start and she is proportional and very healthy so I'm happy. (Of course she does make my arms go numb when I hold her...).
The doctor also listened for her heart murmur twice and did not detect it at all! I can finally breathe a sigh of relief! It feels so good to know that the complications are all behind us now. I know that 60% of preemies are diagnosed with ADD or other learning disabilities but Ava is speaking in sentences and asking questions and learning new words every day so I'm sure that shouldn't be a problem for her. She is so healthy in so many ways and I'm very happy and thankful for that! She is my little blessing.
