Ava's second Christmas!

This morning when Ava woke up and walked out of the bedroom she immediatedly looked around and said, "Santa?" "Santa??" I think she was expecting more presents to open after 2 days full of being spoiled. At least she knows where they all came from so she doesn't expect them from mommy!

Ava really had a good second Christmas. On Christmas Eve both Daddy's and Mommy's families came over for one big dinner that I cooked up. I'm actually impressed that I was able to pull off cooking that much food without any glitches! Ava was such a good little girl and let me cook and bake without getting in the way. Her favorite place to play, of course, is under my feet. In fact, she was so good that Santa came by on the firetruck as I was cooking with an early present for her!! Surprisingly she wasn't afraid of the sirens either.

On Christmas Eve, Ava opened all of her present from Grandma & Grandpa, Aunt Jill, Aunt Jackie & James, Mom-Mom & Pop-Pop and her Great Grandparents. My goodness was she spoiled! There was no need for Santa to stop by!! Her toys were all Elmo-themed which she LOVED! Aunt Jackie bought her a plush little arm chair for her bed room and Grandma & Grandpa gave her the matching table and chairs for her to have tea parties! She also recieved some adorable dresses from Grandma & Great Grandparents! And of course, the theme this Holiday was Puppies! Her Godmother bought her a remote-controlled furry puppy that Ava just couldn't get enough of!! (Hopefully that will hold off the actually puppy buying for at least a little while......)

On Christmas Morning Ava came out and immediately went over to her arm chair and sat down in it with her sippy cup. When she was done her milk she ran over to the tree and exclaimed, "Santa!" Instead of opening her presents she pulled all the bows off and sat down and played with them. Her favorite toy from Santa was her Elmo Laptop (he left it with hopes that she would leave Mommy & Daddy's computers alone for once!! hehe). After we went and visited with Uncle Andy we headed up to New York to see my father's family for dinner!

Ava spent most of the time pulling ornaments off of the Christmas Tree or playing with the "Ticky" (Avanese for Kitty). It took her a little bit but she finally warmed up to everyone and was soon spoiled with more presents... and sugar cookies!! She really loved her rudolph and sang & danced along to the music. After playing with everybody we headed home and Ava sat down in her new chair and watched her new Rudloph DVD before she went to bed. And boy did she pass out!! It was such a great Christmas and so much fun to see her face as she opened up her presents! Everyone was so generous this year and Ava says "Goo-Goo" to everyone for making the Holiday so special!! (Avanese for Thank you!)
