An Egg-stra Special Day!

Easter went very this year and Ava was finally old enough to have her first real Easter Egg hunt! When she woke up in the morning and I collected her from her crib she ran into the living room to find her Easter basket full of new Tigger & Pooh Books and Coloring Books and even some new shoes! (pink, of course). The Easter bunny even filled her sippy cup with Chocolate Milk which she thoroughly enjoyed!

After spending a nice quiet morning hunting for eggs, coloring in her new books and watching some Tigger & Pooh, Daddy got home from work and we headed out to Great Grandma's house for and early Ham dinner with Mel's family before heading to the hospital to visit Great Grandpa who has not been doing very well this past month! Ava didn't seem to like the hospital (I guess she remembers....) but she did seem to enjoy running up and down the hallways showing off her frilly pink dress.

After the hospital we headed to Grandma & Grandpa's where everyone was eagerly awaiting the little princesses arrival. Uncle Andy & Aunt Jill spent the morning filling eggs with animal crackers, chocolate (for me, of course) and money and hid them all over the yard for Ava to find! As soon as we arrived she was ushered to the back where there was bright eggs all over the yard! Ava had so much fun running around and collecting her eggs and putting them in the basket. Of course, she had to open each one to see what was inside before she would drop it in the basket. She stopped to eat EVERY animal cracker before she would move on to find another egg.

We spent the rest of the night playing with everyone and Ava had such a good time with all the attention she was getting. I have a few candid pictures of her Egg Hunt but nothing formal since we were on the go for most of the day!
