Every spring I tend to wear sneakers quite frequently which is unusual for me. Typically my feet are only adorned in super tall heels or dressy flat sandals. I loathe sneakers. But I adore my shoes too much to wear them during the wettest time of year. So I have been wearing sneakers and Ava has found enjoyment attempting to tie my laces for me whenever I put them on. She was a little disappointed when I upgraded my six-year-old visibly worn Puma's to a new pair of slip-on Ed Hardy's, of course, with no laces.
Ava's feet are between sizes so I decided it was time to upgrade her shoes as well. She went from Velcro Dora to a pair of bubblegum pink low-top Converse sneakers complete with shoelaces. Ava was bursting with excitement and could not wait to get home and put them on. She wore them for a week strait and has dubbed them her "play shoes."
She is working on learning to tie the bows herself. But of course she becomes distracted and giggly once she makes the two bunny ears. She'll get it. Eventually. When the sillies wear off. But in the meantime she has mastered the bunny ears. And that will just have to do for now.
