Today I was able to bottle-feed Ava!! This is a very good day and I am so excited to finally feed her! She seems to be taking to the bottle very well which is probably from all of that practice sucking on her pacifier. She is starting out with such a small amount of milk but for her it is alot. As she gets used to the bottle and being able to feed without choking they will slowly increase the amount of milk she drinks.
We were also advised today that Ava is going to begin Caffeine Therapy which is supposed to assist with Ava's Apnea. The doctor is going to write us a prescription that we have to pick up and bring to the hospital so they can show us how to administer the drops to her every day. I really hate having to put something unnatural in such a tiny body. It's like giving her medicine but it's worse, it's caffeine and she's only five and a half pounds. It's supposed to be good for her but I'm really not looking foward to it. I guess we'll just have to see!
